Description

Moar fankid retooling, this time the Buntwan kids. Both designs need a lot more work, but it was fun anyway. I think for the most part I don't mind the age and gender and names of the canon kids. I just don't like them as carbon copies of their parents. Later on, I might play around with these two, see if I can make them more of their own thing like I did with the SonSal kids and Melody. What would happen if I swapped their genders, etc? I like how they mesh with the other characters, but they seem a little too close to their parents. IDK

Jacques - Considered the wise and learned adult chaperone of the new Freedom Fighters, at the ripe old age of 22 (that’s what happens when you work with 10 - 16 year olds.) Spent a lot of time in the Sandblast region with his sister where his parents took special interest in helping rebuild after the Eggman Empire. Not too great at anything in particular, but he’s a bit more knowledgeable and down-to-earth than the other kids, and has a lot more connections with other parts of the world. He’s a pretty decent guy all around, but he wishes the youngsters thought he was hip and cool. (They don’t.) He feels a certain responsibility to take care of the others since he’s the only adult around, but knows he’s limited in what he can actually do, so defers to WereSally’s leadership when it comes to formulating plans. It’s still a bit of an insecurity for him, having to rely on a bunch of kids to get things done.

Belle - Not a Freedom Fighter. In fact, she’s a major antagonist to the Freedom Fighters’ goals at times as one of the leaders of a pro-technology community that’s risen since the end of the war, from former legionnaires and robians that felt their lives were improved. This group, which directly butts heads with a tech-hating terrorist group that wants all of it destroyed, has been quietly taken over by ex-Dark Legion members who are looking to build back their numbers. Belle was not bad to begin with, but saw people like her mother and grand-uncle using robotic parts to their advantage and became something of a technophile. Her decision to give herself cybernetics without any injury or force is a source of contention with her mother, and she’s estranged from her family. Where she once just wanted to allow more people the option to receive cybernetics, evil members of her group have twisted her beliefs and now she intends to force the non-believers to accept their upgrades, whether they want them or not.

Only a handful more left. And I'll be back to Dragon Kingdom stuff shortly. I just need to get this out of my system. :V

Seeing Belle now makes me think of Kylo Ren.
